I was hoping this program would help me find some icons I know are somewhere on my hard drive. I found the interface a little confusing. I didn\'t have any success on my first few attempts, so I gave up.

Icons from File 3.31 Well I've tried to export all (8) icons from an ICL file, but the exported ICO files were 32 x 32 pixels, although in the original ICL they were 16 x 16 pixels.Then I've used other tool which was better for my needs:http://www.mitec.cz/iconex.html

Opinion. This pack works well and is easy to use.

Review of File 2 Pack Menu options were easy to use. Icons were less intuitive. A little slow starting up... but that may have been the trial version. I used to create self extractors that would allow the user to browse to their desktop to "unpack". Worked without a problem.

People,As a practice I never respond to surveys, opinions, etc. In the case of Icon Extractor however, I feel it is such an excellent product that I will freely recemmend it to associates who need such a product. ICL - Icon Extractor did exactly what I wanted in to. In fact, I had my doubts on it\\\'s limitations and abilities, but it worked out great. (And by great I mean extracting over 100 icons from one ICL at once!) However, I did find one lack in it\'s features. There was no \'save all\' function. Thankz very much for this product.

Icon Extractor I happened on Icon Extractor out of frustration with another icon program. The download allowed me to try it first, which was a pleasant experience. Although I would have like a manual in PDF, the program was intuitive enough to figure out, and I no longer need a manual. I purchased the software and accomplished all that I needed to. I recommend this program; coming from me, that is a strong endorsement!

Good, but not exciting... I found it reasonably easy to use (though some of the demo version limitations made it hard to assess.)The feature I'd most like to see is a 'save as dll' option for creating dll based icon libraries.Other than that, not bad.My main goal is to gather and sort many of the icons available on my machine so I can find them easily.It helps in the gathering, but the sorting is still far from great.(Oh, and it'd be nice if the icon lists were sortable in some way.)

probably the best icon extractor! the interface is friendly; it's very easy to use; has all the basic features expected; you don't need to read any help to work out how to use it; it's also very quick at scanning files and pulling out the icons for copying or saving to another file format.i'm not sure if i would pay for it as i don't need it very often.

I downloaded onto a new Amilo Laptop with Vista Home Premium.I tried to run it to find icons on c:, but it just reported no icons found.I tried to run it again, and it reported "free trial ended", or words to that effect.So I uninstalled it, and am still looking for a program which will find icons in other files than shell32.dll and moricons.dll.

ICONStudio 5.0 The program didn't satisfy my need for advanced graphics. The number of pixels wasn't adequate for my needs. I found the drawing tools to be ok, but couldn't even draw a straight line. I had to use the "rectangle" tool and only make one pixel high. Fairly intuitive to use except for undoing more than one thing. I had to always start over if I made a mistake.I would have used this program to create concepts for our user interface designs. The program completely wasn't up to that task.It didn't solve my task.

actually the next best icon replacer Yes I'm happy with this product I have fully tranformed all of my XP icons to Vista icons and now my computer looks soo hot! I really recommend this 9.8/10 Awesome!

Not what I expected But its still Useful I tried this program thinking it is to create your own icons, but instead it allows you to change icons in a easy manner. I would use it to change my icons to what I wish. This program makes it easy to do so.

Nice software, but... I downloaded the software in hopes that I could use it to replace some of vista icons on my desktop. This app seems to run well and be designed well but it would not make icons large enough for my needs.

My oppinion Chameleon Icons is not working on my system. I would like to know why. When I start, it doesn't even appear in task manager's processes list, it appears and then dissapears (crashes) with no warning.
